Trust Registration Service
The Trust Registration Service regime will be extended from the 1 September 2022.
From this date, the categories of Trusts that are required to register with HMRC will be significantly broadened, and subject to any specific exclusions in the new rules, will include all UK express Trusts in existence as at 6 October 2020, no matter when they were created.
The registration requirement will also apply in certain circumstances to non-UK express Trusts. Where an exclusion applies, Trusts may remain outside the registration regime.
