We are making a £10 donation to the NHS for every new Will instruction we take in May 2020.

During these uncertain and strange times, the likes of which most of us have never experienced before, we are all having to adapt and change our lives to stay at home, to stay safe and do what we can to support the global fight against Coronavirus.

We are all facing challenges we would never have thought would arise, but somehow as the weeks go by, we are finding new ways to stay connected and adjust to this new way of living to get us through it.

In our homes, we are now getting to grips with working from home, home schooling, dealing with changes to financial situations, finding innovative ways to stay in touch with family and friends as well as getting exercise and fresh air to help with our mental as well as our physical health and working with the challenges of social distancing when shopping and carrying out other essential tasks away from the house.

Alongside this, though, many of us are keeping ourselves busy by working through ‘to-do’ lists of tasks, getting on with those jobs which have been lying around and niggling at us for a very long time. But Spring cleaning, clearing out and tidying lofts and garages, organising cupboards, crafting and gardening projects are all now being undertaken in earnest and with much vigour to get us motivated and give us a sense of achievement while we all adhere to the Government’s stay at home policy. We are also able to take this time at home to reflect on our own lives and, in addition to getting the home in order, we can also get our documentation to protect us for our future in order.

At Crombie Wilkinson, we are delighted to be supporting and working with families, couples and individuals who see these times as an opportunity to think about their future and put plans in place, including making a Will or Lasting Power of Attorney, important documents to protect themselves and their loved ones when they are needed. Having this time at home to reflect and think about what they want to happen means now, more than ever, having an up to date Will in place is extremely important. So, because our NHS is doing a phenomenal job at looking after those in need, we want to show our support for what they are doing and we will be donating £10 to the NHS for every new Will instruction we take in May 2020.

Belinda-Jane Poulter, Private Client Director and Solicitor at Crombie Wilkinson said “It is business as usual from our trusted legal team, who are working remotely during the Covid-19 lockdown, after adapting our services to be here for you. Whilst our office doors may not be open at this time, we are easily accessible on the telephone and email and are carrying out appointments for clients on the telephone to continue to provide the excellent quality legal service our clients need. For members of the Private Client team and myself at this time, we have introduced a home signature procedure when making a Will to give people peace of mind and so they can access this service to get their affairs in order. We have worked closely with the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for over ten years, supporting their charity work and providing a trusted discounted service to the NHS staff they employ so we wanted to support them at this time too and join many people and businesses across the country raising funds for our much needed NHS service.”

Contact a member of our Private Client team for advice on your circumstances and if you would like to discuss making your Will while supporting our NHS at the same time:
