Our fundraising for Martin House Hospice

Our Ryedale offices (Malton and Pickering) have chosen to fundraise for Martin House Hospice as their current office chosen charity.

Over the coming months, our staff will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities which we will share updates about in this blog.

Some of the staff from our Ryedale offices were part of our team which took part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge which we completed in September 2023 and raised over £2000 to split equally across our three office charities, so we are off to a great start!

During the months of October and November, staff are raiding their own homes to look for quality items that they will donate via our Donation Drive to Martin House Hospice; clothing, shoes, household items, toys, books, dvds and more.

Other activities around Christmas are being planned in – rather than buying company Christmas cards and cards for colleagues, the money used will be pooled together so we can see what we can purchase from the Martin House Hospice Christmas gift list to give presents to children they are caring for.

We are keen to take part in some of the Martin House Hospice organised fundraising events in 2024, we have our eye on abseiling and their glitter ball!

We will also be taking on another team challenge in the first half of 2024 so watch this space!

Our fundraising activity is part of our #CommunityFocus Value which is ‘We are passionate and active in giving back to the communities where we live and work.’

Martin House is a charity that provides hospice care for children and young people across West, North and East Yorkshire. It provides family-led care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses, either at the hospice or in families' own homes.
