Collaborative lawyers go karting
Resolution's biggest public-facing campaign of the year, Family Dispute Resolution Week, commenced on the 23rd November and kicked off with a speedy start! Members from York Collaborative Law Group undertook a go-karting challenge in aid of the national media campaign being undertaken during this week. The campaign promotes and encourages separating couples to resolve their issues by using alternative methods of dispute resolution, namely mediation and the collaborative law process, rather than resorting to the bitterness that often comes with Court proceedings.
The York Collaborative Law Group are all independent providers of legal services and financial advice, working together to actively encourage positive solutions to family disputes. All members of the group donated funds for the children’s charity, Candlelighters, who are a Leeds based charity who work to help support families with their fight against children’s cancer. The donations raised a fantastic 600 for the cause.
Chris Myles from Crombie Wilkinson, the group Chair, indicated that the group had read the article in The Press of thieves stealing donations collected at York Maze for the children’s charity, and therefore felt this was an appropriate charity to receive such a donation.
